Big Brothers Big Sisters

Have you heard about our Charity Umbrella Program???

Each month Stuff Etc supports a Linn County and Johnson County charitable organization. We have umbrellas hanging upside down at our register terminals, encouraging customers to throw in their spare change, etc.

We also encourage donations by offering a shopping discount for customers who put $1 in our charity umbrella. This has been a fun and successful project. Stuff Etc enjoys working with our community to support local organizations.

In August Stuff Etc chose to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Linn and Johnson County.

We raised $1972.00 for the Johnson County BBBS.

We raised $864.00 for the Linn County BBBS.

Big Brothers Big Sisters' goal is to expand horizons through the power of one-to-one friendships.

  1. That's awesome. And for some extra inspiration and perspective on the difference that Big Brothers/Big Sisters makes in the lives of kids, check out these two short videos -- ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/7338 and ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/7343 -- about the "aha moments" of two special people who are dedicated to this great organization and the kids it serves.

    Well done,
